The results from our brainstorming took into account both customer and engineering requirements.
After ideation, we narrowed down our design and construction of a smart baby crib to include the following (in priority order):
(i) Bassinet with 3 DOF to mimic bouncing motions
(ii) Embedded microphones to detect a child’s response to a given
rocking pattern and sound sequence.
(iii) Embedded speakers to play white noise or recorded sequences
(iv) Internal algorithm to determine best rocking and sound patterns
for a given child based on microphone polling and stored data.
(v) Real time notifications of a child’s sleep stats.
